If for whatever reason - and I cant imagine why - all this doesnt work out and Six still cant wait to go -- Luna will reluctantly break down and go if Korm wont come. We can't have another one of these Warforged - Snatching incidents. Seems like everyone wants one these days!!

Of course - I will be in the form of nice bird so I don't have to get involved in the disourse unless I feel like it. And no one could really be too upset if I chewed a hole in anything.

What are you talking about? You are the one to arrange the meeting - you are the one who needs to go.

No way is gareth going with his duties, and absolutely no way chance in hell is gareth leaving the princess in the hands of luna. The speaker of the flame could be dying and the only person to save the kid is gareth and gareth would still not leave the princess

And yes we could and would get upset if you ate something other then the food in your plate

Clarification: I did not " set up " a meeting.

A reported a desire for a meeting.

That's very different!

And - we as yet do not have a meeting.
I simply put it out there that Im not much on 'taking' meetings.

If it's merely tagging along to avoid any "issues" from arrising... and someone is going to be stuck going alone... then I would certainly do my civic duty and accompany them.

Okay, you guys currently have three options for the above.

First - meet in one of the palace gardens, in which case you would be expected to inform a few people and get permission to use it. Of course, you're perfectly free to use one anyway without informing anybody.

Second - meet in one of the gardens at the ir'Kemiria manor, in which case it's less of a home field advantage, but Korm and Luna are definitely deadlier than indoors.

Third - meet at one of the public parks you passed along the way while travelling through Fairhaven, in which case you don't need to inform anyone but are much more likely to be noticed and/or have unplanned for company.

Choices?

It's probably Six's decision.

A big part of that, of course, is because of your peculiar situation in being escorts of someone from another country while currently inside a third one. In the current situation, the least complicated thing would be to have just one or two of you meet Belissa at her place. Well, second least, since the least would be for nobody to meet her at all.

I disagree - do not confuse times where Gareth dropped his Diplomacy for times when he tried. His vast diplomacy, and pretty decent profession law, has kept us out of jail on more then one occasion.

It has also gotten us a lot of extra help.

In the morning, the Angels find a local Sivis post and dispatch a messenger to the Ir'Kemiria manor with a message for Lady Belissa. It says that Six, who is an accomplished sculptor, would like to make a sculpture of her and that she should come to the royal palace to meet them.

The messenger returns shortly, with a sealed note from the Lady. The note reads:

"While I am flattered at your offer, I am feeling slightly indisposed and would prefer to do no traveling today. I would appreciate it if Six, and anyone who cares to accompany him, would visit me here at home instead. No, he can't do 5th lvl spells yet. But he can do an Augury or a Divination (latter is much more powerful, of course.)

No, he can't do 5th lvl spells yet. But he can do an Augury or a Divination (latter is much more powerful, of course.)

There's essentially no downside to doing a divination. If we can we'll do them before this meeting, if not we'll decline the invitation until after we've cast the spells. We'll lead off with the Divination and then Nameless will do a "Contact Other Plane" at the can't fail level basing the questions on the results of the Divination.

Thus the asking at the "Can't fail level" Nameless Int bonus is +7+1 (for minimum roll) = 8. It's a check not a save so there's no auto fail, and the check DC is 8 so even if Nameless rolls a 1 he's okay. The odds of getting correct information are lousy but we can do crosschecking in the questions to help mitigate this and with a 25 Int Nameless should be able to craft the questions so that he'd have a good chance fo doing this.
